Mixxx Final Assignment

This project was hard and easy at the same time. I had a couple of songs that had profanity in them so I had to scratch them out, or find a clean version of that song. I also wanted to use a lot of songs but it would have made everything a lot harder. I liked looking for samples to put into the mix. They had a lot of good ones, I chose the ones of people clapping. I have about 5 different songs on my mix. The hardest part of this project  was the beat matching I got it down packed after a couple tries, but it was still very hard. I think I did pretty well on this project, and I am very happy with the outcome.

Mixxx Assignment 9

      For this project I had to use the Sampler. I had to download for different sounds from this sampling website. I used two different applause sounds to do this. I also used a drum loop and a random loop that they had there on the website. I decided to use the applause sample to make the song seem like it was live or at a concert. This assignment was really fun and easy to do. I enjoyed listening to the variety of sounds they had on the website. The only difficult thing was picking what sounds or samples would sound the best with the two song I chose to do this.

Mixxx Assignment A7

Changing the pitch control wasn't that difficult. The hardest part about it was trying to find the perfect pitch for the song. I wanted to change the pitch without making the song sound bad. I was real happy when I found the perfect pitch because I was searching for really long. This assignment was the easiest one I've done so far. Using the pitch control was very easy and fun.

Mixxx Assignment 8 Scratching

               I tried to make the scratches in the songs sound as professional as possible but I couldn't. I liked the way that it cam out. The most difficult thing about the scratching was thinking about when and where it would be a good time to scratch the song. I found it easy to scratch the song and make it sound cool. It was pretty difficult to do. But after a while it was very easy and fun. I really liked doing this, because it made me feel like a real DJ.
